Role
This functional thesis focused on creating a user interface prototype for a mobile application, utilizing service design processes. The objective was to develop an app tailored for people with special dietary needs, enabling them to easily access information about restaurant portions and food products without unnecessary steps.
The thesis followed the double-diamond service design model, progressing through four key phases: Discover, Define, Develop, and Produce. Methods were employed to understand users' needs and systematically develop solutions. The work was divided into smaller tasks for efficiency.
• Discover Phase: A survey was conducted via Webropol to understand the needs of the target group. A Business Model Canvas was also created to address business requirements for the app.
• Define Phase: Service paths were created based on data collected, depicting how users would interact with the app.
• Develop Phase: The app's functions were conceptualized and prioritized using methods like Lotus Blossom and MoSCoW.
• Produce Phase: A user interface prototype was created with Figma, integrating insights and ideas from previous phases.
The resulting prototype successfully aligns with the project's goals and the target users' needs. It has the potential to serve as a foundation for actual app development and launch.
